A SCARCE AND VERY COLLECTABLE 1827 GEORGE IV HALF GOLD SOVEREIGN. WHO REIGN BETWEEN 1820 AND 1830.

IN AN VERY FINE CONDITION. AN EXTREMELY LOW MINTAGE 492,014. During the Kings reign there were two distinctive head styles - Laurel Head (featuring a wreath crown) and Bare Head.

The Sovereign reverse features a shield back, which was preferred to the St George & Dragon design until 1887, during Queen Victoria's reign. This half sovereign will be sent.
